Our History

In 2008, several young adults wrote and facilitated a retreat based on the Glorious Mysteries of the rosary. This retreat, soon became known as “The BE Weekend.” It focuses on helping people to rediscover what it means to be a human being and not just a human doing. The retreat is Eucharist-centered and seeks to form and equip intentional disciples. The 5 sessions are: Be Healed- The Resurrection, Be Fed-The Ascension, Be Filled- The Descent of the Holy Spirit, Be Loved- The Assumption and Be Led-The Coronation.

Since that first retreat in 2008, ToBe Ministries has facilitated retreats for numerous young adult groups, campus ministries, youth ministries and adult ministries. In 2013, we began expanding and offering additional retreats covering a wide range of formational topics geared toward facilitating healing and deepening discipleship in and through encounters with Jesus Christ. In 2017, our ministry name was simplified to BE and we became an intentional community of affiliates dedicated to serving in and through the 3 Hearts of the Holy Family. In 2023, BE discerned a new call to prioritize and shift our formational focus specifically to disciples (those in the upper thresholds of conversion) and even more specifically to focus our efforts on forming, equipping and connecting pastoral leaders dedicated to healing. With a new call within our same mission, Healing Disciples, was born.  We have 30+ years of collective experience facilitating workshops, conferences and retreats for participants of all ages. What we do

Healing Disciples (HD) facilitates Eucharist-centered retreats and workshops that train, equip and empower people in authentic identity, relationship and mission. HD’s Consulting Services provide strategic planning, staff development, and scandal recovery to ministries, churches, and Catholic Dioceses. HD seeks to reconcile relationships and improve evangelization efforts by addressing the heart based integration problems and hidden spiritual issues that often impede ministry efforts and afflict most religious organizations. We offer formation opportunities to ministries and parishes seeking to incorporate healing into their communities and institute integrated approaches to discipleship. We are passionate about helping people and ministries walk in the fullness of who God has called and calls them to BE.
